For players who compete on more than 12 tables at a time, simply starting up a poker session can be a difficult task.  Just beginning your sessions involves opening up a lot of tables while having to attend to other ones popping up requiring action.  For those who play more than 12 tables at a time on PokerStars, for example, arranging tables can be pretty troublesome.  Some players prefer to play using the “Cascade Tables” option, while others prefer tiling their tables, which is probably the most used layout online.  However, the “Tile Tables” option on PokerStars only works with 12 tables or fewer, so you have to move around your tables manually to your desired locations if you play on more than that.

This process becomes even more difficult when you click on a table to move it and cover up one where you’re involved in a hand.  You’ll be scrambling to find that table again so you don't time out and fold.  How nice would it be to be able to move tables around in the background without stealing the focus away from the table you are involved in?  MoveInactiveWin will allow you to do just that.

MoveInactiveWin v1.0 is a free, open source program that can make a high-volume multi-tabler’s life much easier.  The program allows you to move any inactive window without stealing the focus away from your active window.  The program can be used with any Windows application, so it is not poker-specific.

Here is how you get started using this program.  Unlike most of the other scripts we have looked at in the past, you do not have to have AutoHotKey (AHK) downloaded onto your computer for this tool to work.  The script has been converted into an executable file (.exe), so all you have to do is download the program and install it just as you would any other:

1) Go to http://www.donationcoder.com/Software/Skrommel/#MoveInactiveWin
2) Download and install the program
3) You will probably want to put an icon on your desktop, so go to the folder you downloaded the program to and drag and drop it onto your desktop. Start the program by double-clicking the icon.

Once you download and run the program, you will have an icon in your system tool tray.  To close the program, right-click it and exit the program.

By default, the hotkey for this program is “Alt.”  To use the program, hold down the “Alt” key and drag around any table or window in the background. You’ll notice that your active table or window is not affected.  It’s that easy!

This is a program that is really easy to use and can be a great tool to help you manage your multi-table sessions.  One of the keys to maximizing your online profit is finding tools that help in different areas.  There is no doubt that trying to open up 20 tables and arranging them is difficult and takes your concentration away from playing poker.  Download MoveInactiveWin today and see just how easy life can be.

As always, if you have questions, problems, or any other concerns, please make a post in the AHK Forum and we will be there to help.
