PokerSoftware.com is proud to announce that we’ve developed a new monthly podcast that will available for free.  The podcast will be available for download here at the site and in coming weeks, it will be added to Apple iTunes as well.  Be sure to turn on your “item artwork” in iTunes or gaze down at your iPod/iPhone during the podcast, as you will be able to see accompanying pictures and information to go along with the audio. Listen to the first ever PokerSoftware Podcast.

In our pilot episode, we break the news from PokerTracker 3’s lead developer, Derek Charles, that the Mac OS X edition will be available for public download this month.  The beta will be free and available to anyone that wants to try it out.  The Mac edition of PokerTracker 3 will be available for download from the software’s website later this month.

There was discussion about how Charles feels about PokerTracker 3’s success and high rating on our site: “It’s a complete honor and it’s great to get extremely positive reviews from our users,” said Charles.  He announced that Omaha support is coming and said that it’s currently in an internal alpha phase.

“Our main thing is that PokerTracker is so powerful and we’re trying to make it as simple as possible to make it so everyone can enjoy it,” Charles added. Later in the interview, Charles went discussed the need for constant updates and the importance of their relationship with poker sites.

Our first major segment of the podcast is with Poker Software contributor Jayme Lyttle.  In this segment, he discusses what’s new in the world of poker software.  One of the hot topics he talks about is Poker Hand Scout and what’s new and exciting about this data mining service: “It’s just a really great tool to use and you can use this to load up your HUD… It automatically alerts you for downloads.”

Lyttle also went into the new UB.com brand, formerly known as Ultimate Bet, and discusses what the overhaul means for players.  APJohn, a contributor to the forums, tipped Lyttle off that a new auto top-off for cash game tables is coming soon.

Lyttle discusses an article about SNG Wizard and the new updates, such as the hand history importing tool and the range tool that help players memorize hand ranges of opponents.  There have also been some bug fixes that have been addressed in recent updates.

The PokerSoftware Podcast will be released monthly and can be downloaded here at PokerSoftware.com.
