MagicHoldem Featured in Infinity Gaming Magazine

We're not quite sure if anyone on PokerSoftware has read Infinity Gaming Magazine, but we wanted to point out that MagicHoldem, which recently released its Personal Poker Coach product, was featured in the May 2013 edition. The article is entitled "Finding Better Ways to Educate Online Poker Players" and also mentions PokerTracker and Holdem Manager.

The magazine contends that the latter two programs "are geared toward competent players wishing to become very successful players."

While both programs are quite useful in the poker world and have become staples of the industry, according to Infinity Gaming Magazine, "there only appears to be one product, called MagicHoldem, which caters to casual and free players who just want to gamble, but require educating in layperson's language without sacrificing their entertainment from their game time."

The article goes on to talk about the useful information that players will receive from Magic Holdem while they play, including a screen that "educates them about their playing style, summarizes events, and identifies strengths and weaknesses in addition to a bunch of stats."

MagicHoldem provides a window that attaches to your online poker table and shows various details about your hand, including advice, the state of your hand, your position, and whether your hole cards are suited. You'll also see your odds and outs and get one-click access to support in case you stumble in any way.

MagicHoldem works with most of the major online poker rooms out there, which led Infinity Gaming Magazine to ask, "Why on earth is this not being used by more operators and why is there no alternative to it available on other rooms? The key to unlocking the vault of tens of millions of new poker players and enabling the gigantic number of free players to gamble more competently is not just to educate them, but to educate them where they play… while they are playing."

Practice definitely makes perfect in poker, so we can understand where Infinity Gaming Magazine is coming from. After all, poker training generally takes the form of reviewing hands, which inherently focuses on game play. We'd almost equate it to a sport like golf, where hitting balls and getting in real-time practice is a major way to improve. You can watch a computer examine your swing all day long, but playing is critical to getting better.

As the article explains, "The key to educating most new players is to educate them during live game play sessions via something that wraps around their gaming experience and identifies those 'moments' when they can be taught effectively." The program supports tournaments, cash games, play money games, and sit and gos.

We should probably point out that Magic Hold'em runs two years for $120, one year for $90, six months for $60, and one month for $15. Visit MagicHoldem's website today.

A Barcelone, of9 je me trouve actuellement, je me re9veille, souvent tard (15h environ).

Thanks for this blog post. I've done quite a bit of Googling and there's not much out there on the topic of stack sizes.I am specifically instreteed in whether there is a material difference in a Limit Hold'em game due to the starting stack size (i.e. buy-in amount).I'm playing in a Friday night game here in Russia (where, by the way, Texas Hold'em is considered a sport, not a game of chance, and is becoming super popular). There are 9 of us playing normally. We are all friends. We're playing 200/400 Rubles (i.e. $7.50/$15.00). There is a soft minimum of 3,000 but generally 5,000 Rubles is considered the minimum. However, there is no maximum buy-in. A couple of the guys are very, very successful businessmen and think nothing of starting with 30,000 or 50,000 Rubles (approx $1,000 and $1,800 respectively).I am instreteed in whether there is a material advantage to buying-in with such a large stack size? About half the guys at the table buy-in with 5,000 and the other half at 20,000 and up.There is an unlimited rebuy policy and the guys who start with a large buy-in will often rebuy for another 20,000 when/if they lose their stack. It's my contention that even though we are playing at Limit Hold'em game (we play Unlimit Hold'em after 12:00am) the guys who start with a larger buy-in stack have an advantage over the other half who start with the minimum of 5,000 Rubles.I base my belief on the fact that if you take one of the guys with a 30,000 and another with a 5,000 stack, and both players are of equal ability, then the guy with the larger stack will have an advantage. The advantage is not only because he can push the pot higher when he has a strong hand but also because he can see more flops/turns/and rivers then the guy with the 5,000 stack.Specifically, the large stack guy can "invest" more to see more and thus, will increase his odds to improve a hand that was weak pre-flop and on the flop. What are your thoughts? Should Limit Hold'em games have an equal buy-in for all players? Thanks! http://mjcemuvpb.com ddesgnw [link=http://ieeucklzek.com]ieeucklzek[/link]

Cancellation of an existing QuotesChimp is not usually a problem after the first 60 days of coverage have elapsed. After that, the company can only cancel for cause; i.e., nonpayment of premiums. The real problem most consumers fear is their company's refusal to renew a policy at the end of the coverage period. Unfortunately, unlike health insurance, auto insurance companies don't issue policies that are guaranteed to be renewable. Thus, a company can usually refuse to renew your policy or raise your rates upon the following terms and conditions.
