PokerTracker 3 Now Available for Mac

It’s no secret that more online poker players than ever before are migrating toward the Apple computer.  Therefore, more poker software vendors are now supporting the Mac platform.  In fact, PokerTracker 3 recently announced the release of its Mac OS X supported software, which also includes some new and improved features.  The software is currently in beta and will release commercially as soon as testing concludes.  The poker community has asked for PokerTracker 3 Mac support from for some time now, so this is very exciting news.

The Mac OS X release includes all of the same functionality as the Windows supported version, so this will be an easy transition.  One thing to note, PokerTracker 3 for Mac will import all of your Windows hand histories, but will only auto-import for the native PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker, and OnGame (bwin) clients.  Also, sites that have Mac support through a browser-based version and write hand histories to the computer will be supported in subsequent beta releases.  There are also some brand new features in the new beta release.

PokerTracker 3 now includes a new Setup Wizard that will make configuring the program as easy as possible.  There have been some reports of players stumbling with the setup of PokerTracker 3 in the past, so the team at PokerTracker has designed the Setup Wizard so that the configuration process is now as easy as possible.

Another new feature PokerTracker 3 offers is a backup and restore process.  Not only does the new process allow you to back up your database, but it also allows you to back up all of your settings.  Your layouts, reports, statistics, notes, and buddies can now be backed up using a simple zip file.  This is extremely useful for those who need to transfer settings and databases to another computer or convert to the Mac version.  The backup process has never been easier and will definitely be a welcomed change by most users.

Omaha is a game that is growing in popularity by the day, so you will be excited to know that the new release also includes Omaha support.  You can now have the same edge you have playing Hold’em while playing Omaha.  It’s important to note that testing for all of the functionality for Omaha is not complete, so there will be some hiccups along the way.  Currently, only hands from PokerStars, PartyPoker, Full Tilt Poker, and the iPoker Network import, so stay tuned for added poker rooms in the near future.  The Omaha beta is free to all owners of the Hold’em version as well as trial users.  There will also be a free trial available for those who have an expired version of Poker Tracker 3.

The team at PokerTracker has worked very hard to release this version by the end of the year and there are some bugs expected with these very big changes.  The developers have asked that you report any issues you have to them so they can work them out as quickly as possible.  There will be new releases in the next several weeks as issues are resolved, so stayed tuned.

The team at PokerTracker told us, “We hope you enjoy the new changes in PT3 and we look forward to what the New Year will bring for all of us. Thanks for your support and for using PokerTracker!”

One consideration in live games is that many if not most live carroodms allow unlimited raises heads-up. Although most of the time this just means every one sits around getting bored and the house and dealer are losing income while two players with the nut straight keep raising each other, once in a blue moon you can get someone with an underfull or other non-nut hand to pay you off. For that reason alone I don't ever want to be small-stacked in a limit game where this rule is in effect. I'd want to keep at least 25 big bets on hand in case lightning strikes. In a game with a raise cap even heads-up, then I just make sure I have enough in case the maximum bets go in each street. Usually I'll have more than that on the table, but that would be my minimum stack size. http://tvorwylm.com ianldm [link=http://cgficcumfiz.com]cgficcumfiz[/link]

Succumbing to the soothing but meaningless slogans created by Madison Avenue may be easy, but if Quotes Chimp buy our insurance based on name recognition alone, we allow insurance companies to slip off the hook of having to truly compete for our business by offering better prices and better services. We can think of few more beneficial consumer skills you can develop than to become a wise and competent shopper of insurance products. The more you know about what you are being sold, the more you will be able to keep your own dollars in your own pockets while obtaining a better deal for a better product.
