PokerDIY Full Review

For those of you who run a home poker tournament, you know how complicated it can be.  There is plenty to keep track of and determining facets like the next blind level or payout structure can result in a fistfight.  What could possibly save your face from a pounding and be completely free?  Well, it’s PokerDIY Tourney Manager.

At its core, it’s tournament management software that works by either being downloaded onto your computer or used it in a web browser with Microsoft Silverlight installed (it’s like Flash).  The program offers a blind clock that allows you to move and resize other windows so you can have everything looking the way you like it.

You can adjust the amount of money it costs to rebuy and adjust the number of chips you receive.  You can even allow players to add on during certain levels and adjust the amount of time that this period lasts.  All of the breaks and blind levels are adjustable.

Starting up a tournament is very easy and you can immediately configure the structure to whatever you need it to be.  The timer can display the average chip stack and adjusts that number based on how many people have been knocked out.  You can even assign chip colors a certain value to keep that straight as well.  All configurations can be saved so you can use them next time.

Blind levels, breaks, rebuys, add-on levels, and even custom backgrounds – they are all customizable from within the downloadable version of the program.  Being able to save all of these features is a huge time saver for when the gang gets together again for some cards:

Overall, this is one of the best freeware programs available to poker players and definitely worth a shot if you are currently using nothing or some other ancient software that doesn’t work well.  This poker tournament clock is really open-ended, but at the same time not too complicated to make it too much trouble.

The software also allows you to find poker home games. The Home Poker game search feature in PokerDIY provides an interactive map where players can find home games that are nearby. This feature provides direct links that give additional information. Those who are hosting home games can place ads within the software in order to have their game appear on the map when searched. This feature is available for U.S. poker games.

For your next game, be sure to check out PokerDIY Tourney Manager.

AWESOME! I tried some of the others but they are all the same - this one is very customizable and easy to use... much less boring! Free always makes me smile too...
